The Shackan Indian Band has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a full time Housing Coordinator. Hiring preference will be given to qualified candidates who self-identify as First Nations or another Canadian Indigenous ancestry.
Shackan’s services comprise of Administration, Education, Finance, Social Development, Emergency Services and Capital Infrastructure.
The community members of Shackan or the Scw'exmx - People of the Creeks - is taken from the name of the Nicola River, Scw'ex, meaning creek. The Shackan Indian Band is one of five bands in the Nicola Valley who comprise the Scw'exmx.
